It is rich that Blair is playing politics on this subject. Can he not see that irrespective of how Government go about it it will be a shambles. How many projects reliant on computer systems have this (and even the other lot) actually delivered on time and on cost.

By the time they get the card into use the wide boys will be selling you one for a tenner just like Sky cards

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
