When a de facto monopolist introduces something new, it is almost inevitably significant, and if the Patent Office deems that when one man invents the screwdriver, the next man may exclude others from using it to drive screws into wood, it is not unlikely that such patents will be relevant. If you want this nightmare to end, contact your MEPs now.
