What is this guy smoking ? As long as the code is free, who cares who writes it ? If IBM wants to pour money in Linux, and they can make a living out of it, what is the problem ?

And 'not being responsible for softwarepatents' is nonsense. If you work for the EU, you are at least morally responsible. If he really was that worried about softwarepatents, he should fight that with every breath. See how fast the European software industry recovers after the true liberation of software.
