The Tipping Point will probably be reached quickly in India. Government support like this is a great idea for developing countries. It could benefit wealthy countries as well, particularly things like schools and non-profit groups, as well as local governments.

I don't see any lasting advantage to using proprietary office suites any longer. Not even Microsoft can overcome the will of the world.

Congratulations to the Indian government for making this wise strategic move! I hope they continue to enjoy success with open source.
