A good step

The cyber crimes are different from traditional crimes and fall within the domain of “white collar crime”. The offences in these cases are not of conventional or traditional types and the ultimate objective is to use public money in a carefully planned manner for personal use with no right to do it. The cause of the community deserves better treatment at the hands of the courts, law enforcement agencies and the voluntary organisations fighting against cyber crimes.

Now the Metropolitan Police and the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) have joined forces to set up a working party to tackle the increasing threat of global cyber crime especially in off shoring companies. The same requires the active support of the netizens and private individuals.

The menace of cyber crimes is not the sole responsibility of State and its instrumentalities. The citizens as well as the netizens are equally under a solemn obligation to fight against the cyber crimes. In fact, they are the most important and effective cyber crime eradication and elimination mechanism. The only requirement is to encourage them to come forward for the support of fighting against cyber crimes.

In association with Intel
Software development for instance can be off shored with a perceived reduction in development costs but the resulting code is rarely of good quality and there is much greater expense in reworking and support over the life of software developed in this way. As a consultant who has to deal with off shoring on daily basis I very often see no savings at all over the lifetime of a software product, and in some cases actually see projects costing a fortune to rework.
