Story: Concern grows about Bulldog's broadband service
It is my understanding that anyone wishing to revert back to BT from Bulldog, all they have to do is contact BT and you will be reconnected within days, however, because you already have a phone number which is registered with Bulldog, BT will have to issue you with a new phone number.
The Exchange still belongs to BT's infrastucture and not Bulldog therefore allowing you to make the move smoothly back to BT.
If I am wrong about this then perhaps someone could correct me on this.
I have recently downgraded my phone package and maintained just the internet connection so I am now paying Bulldog £30.00 per month instead of £52.00per month.
I was on a monthly contract and was informed over the phone that if I wish to downgrade my phone package that I would need to maintain a contract for a year, I have since found out from a Solicitor friend of mine that if I have not signed a contract then there is nothing Bulldog can do, by mutual verbal agreement all I have done is given a gentleman's verbal agreement which Bulldog cannot force me to stay in a verbal contract.
I found a phone company called 'Vonage' that allows me to make free landline phone calls to UK, Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, USA and Canada. I can make free calls to mobile phones to USA and Canada only and I can also make calls to Toll Free numbers in USA and Canada. 'Vonage' charge me £7.99 per month for this service which was better than paying an extra £22.00 for just landline calls in the UK with Bulldog.
In case anyone is interested in contacting 'Vonage' the number is 0800 804 8991 call them for more details, the downside to having a 'Vonage' phone is you are unable to make 999 calls but if you have a mobile phone then you can make 999 calls from your mobile phone.
I hope this has helped.
