Huh? There is no service known as "Windows Remote Desktop Service" or "Remote Desktop Service" under WinXP. Remote Desktop uses the "Terminal Services" service. (This service is enabled by default under WinXP, by the way, and it is designed to resist stopping using normal methods ... though it can be disabled.) Is that where the problem resides?
