Mind you, even those companies that are still using M$ products could do better in many cases.

I know of one instance where management still routinely print off all (and I mean ALL) of their incoming email, read it then file it.

Many MANY companies could do with actually teaching their employees how to use the stuff they already have. They seem to think that paying for licenses and installing the sometimes quite complex applications, is as far as they need to go. They let their employees sink or swim as they may ... which means of course that the majority waste large amounts of time (== money) messing about trying to get simple things done. In many cases they would genuinely be better off getting the employees to do the job by hand. It is really quite frightening.
