Story: Bulldog blames BT for service failures

I've been a Bulldog "customer" since April, and has been a miserable experience. My latest saga is trying to pay them: my Credit Card details have recently changed, so I needed to update them with Bulldog. However every time I call the finance department I dont even get the option to wait in a queue: a recorded message advises "We are currently experiencing extremely high call volumes, please call back at another time" before being disconnected.

I have subsequently emailed Bulldog asking me to contact me to update the details; I didn't want to send these via email. Yesterday I recieved a replying thanking me for updating my details with them, and suggesting not to send card details by email!? Not quite sure what card details they have, but assume they won't be able to collect the money.

I'm more concerned about being stung with a large bill at a later date than paying monies owed.
