Story: Time staff sent home as work dries up

I work for 'The Computer Shop' and know that we have lots of items on back order, mainly the plasma TV’s and laptops that have been on offer for the past 6 weeks. The only reason I can see that work has dried up is due to the shortage of parts needed to make the orders. Rumours have been going around that there had been no dispatches of orders last week and customers are cancelling their orders mainly due to the long delay in receiving them. And refunds have been slow to clear. The last 2 months payments were late; we were told it is due to new staff in accounting.
