It's hardly a "virtual Earth" if it only maps out the USA!

I did try and use the locator using my current IP address and it found the right area (München), but yep, you can' zoom in.

One of the big benefits over Google Earth (and really suprising for a Microsoft product ;-) ) is that it is multi-platform, apart from the Wi-Fi location finder, it looks like it is platform independent, whereas Google is only works under Windows - so I have no idea how it compares, I don't have any Windows machines running at the moment.

Given Microsoft/MSN's history, I am really impressed with its openness for once, now, once they can map the world and actually make it "Virtual Earth", as opposed to "Virtual USA" it might be a useful product.
