Story: Firefox loses market share
I've been using FF since the beta of 0.9. Yes I've encountered some problems along the way. However, I've noticed that FF has continued to improve in not only features but perfomance since then. I'm now using version 1.5.04 andit works pretty darn good, except for those sites that continue to only want to work with IE. Needless to say, they don't get visited nor my business. Is FF perfect, no, but it sure is a lot closer thatn IE6. Granted IE7 RC3 is looking a lot better than IE6, and it darn well should, it still is not FF. Will I change back over to IE7? Probably not. The developers for FF are much faster at fixing problems when they surface that MS. How many updates have come out for FF since 0.9 and in that same time, how many updates, not patches, has MS released for IE? Who appears to be more responsive to the users?
As for the reported memory leaks, I've not encounterd them yet. Then again, I'm not foolish enough to leave my Windows machine on for four days.
