Story: Apple security patch takes out 64-bit apps

Ever since I patched the security with the then latest security patch, I have lost the ability to print any text from Mail, Safari, FireFox, PDF, TextEdit, Word.... . I can however print a scan document from my scanner. I used Talkback every time to tell them about the situation but to no avail. I begin to doubt the effectiveness of Talkback.
Am I the only one who has this printing problem? Is there a cure??? In another word...HELP????
I use a G3 upgraded to G4 1GHz, 448 MB OS Panther 10.3.9 and I have re-installed the printer drive for my Canon-Scan 5200F to no avail!!!

I would appreciate help or a reply.
