Story: Apple confounds analysts with mini 'upgrade'
Apple probably got a large shipment of the updated components and it's possible the previous models of CPU, Video, and DVD hardware have been discontinued.
There's probably in an intermediate period where the're just using the leftovers + some new parts. When they exhaust all old stock, they'll probably make an official "new model" announcement.
It's along the lines of a motherboard revision update--- they don't necessarily announce that they're now using Rev B of the board.
