People should make their political leader of choice perfectly clear, in writing, that such gross neglection of civil rights in their own country of county will have serious consequences for voting behaviour the coming rounds.
Afterall, it's better to life free under bad politicians (at least you can vote then out later) then to life under constant scrutiny under whatever politician that transfers more and more power to the least likely democratic instatutions of them all: big business cooperations.
