I wonder how high skills import from India can be justified as long as there are 1000s of IT specialists UK based who are unemployed.

I am sure that ATSCO knows of such people.
May be the association should approach the employers and IOD to seek these potential employees.

I agree with the point that there are few new IT people coming up. Maybe it is an image thing, or the subject is too hard for to-day's "stressed out" secondary pupils to study.

The other reason for this 22000 import could be they are cheaper salary wise!

That was the first reason for out sourcing to India.
