I certainly hope that there will be a considerable number of sackings and grade reductions among the civil servants in the Department.
The senior executive civil servants must accept responsibility for failing to have checks in place to ensure that such fraud could not occur, failure to monitor the system and staff and again for failing to stop it earlier.
Senior civil servants must accept the personal responsibility that their position requires. No excuses, they must go from the public service - without redundancy payments!!!
