Story: BT's next-generation consumer offering: does BT have the answer?
It's easy to criticise BT for not being Sky, but remember that when Sky and the cable companies were established, BT was prohibited by law from offering TV over their infrastructure.
Had that prohibition not existed, maybe NTL wouldn't have existed in the first place, and they'd all be complaining about BT TV instead.
However I welcome BTs entry into the TV market, as it will generate the pressure they need to uprate the speed and distance capabilty of their ADSL in less urban exchanges.
