I want a new pc complete with Windows o / s. My problem is that I have absolutely no faith in Microsoft to continue to support Win Xp and Vista is still a mirage. How many times have Microsoft moved the goalposts with false dawns. I just do not believe the garbled hype that is forthcoming at the present time and consequently I am very reluctant to go ahead and purchase. Why should I spend my money only to have to rapidly update. Maybe we should look at alternatives. It takes a very long time to achieve customer trust and seconds to lose it completely. Microsoft would do well to bear it in mind and come clean with a clear statement of intent regarding Xp
