Story: EC pushes on with Europe-wide patents
In short, a legal dictatorship. So why are we still listening to the proposers of that? Or even considering giving them half, or even 10%, of what they want?
Isn't past behaviour a good indicator of future behaviour? What are the safe guards to prevent them 'furthering the cause' later on? A piece of paper that can slowly but surely be torn to shreds in well funded, years lasting, legal proceedings?
Why not put a stop to it right here and now and simply say: look, we were doing a lot better until you guys showed up so goodbye and maybe see you in 50 years.
