Story: Lotus users in Microsoft's crosshairs

Another marketing attempt to unsettle Lotus before the eve of their worldwide conference Lotusphere, were Lotus will be making their new product announcements!

I also understand the current beta of this tool cannot scan more than a 1000 databases on a domino server and is limited to standard IBM/Lotus Domino Templates.

It's not a true application analyzer, its one for standard templates. Any other applications will have to be analyzed manually and converted to MS technology.

IBM/Lotus Sales are increasing not decreasing..

Lastly, the Lotus Notes Client is not effected by internet worms/viri due to its inbuilt Execution Control Lists.. This has been in the product for at least 6 years.. Thats a lot longer than Outlook has had this type of protection.

The internet is going to have do a lot of maturing before it is ready for this kind of traffic. Security is always going to be a problem, connectivity is poor, and most business's are unwilling for their employees to have open access.
