How about the word 'digicrat'?
This is a derivation of the word 'technocrat,' which has been used at various points in history to describe individuals who have a deep understanding of technology and its implications in society. In fact some of the earliest usage referred to individuals who believed society should be run by engineers and technical experts! So ‘digicrat’ suggests a deep understanding of the digital age and its increasing prevalence in society as a whole. It also suggests that some day geeks will rule the world, something we all know to be true….
