Story: O2 soothes Ireland's roaming woes

The EU needs to get off their collective backside and sort this out. O2 Ireland have taken a stance on roaming with a single 'island of Ireland' calling rate but O2 UK still maintain roaming charges for GB and, more specifically, Northern Ireland customers roaming into RoI. Customers living in the border counties of NI have suffered the same problems as their neighbours on the other side. The EU is the only body who can influence this, maybe something for those underworked MEPs to get their teeth into. I'd be interested to understand how this issue affects the mainland Europeans - every country must have at least two land borders.
