Story: Google keeps up porn probe battle

i am having some difficulty understanding Google's going along w/ China while not going along w/ the US. Dissidents for basic freedoms, like press and religion, get run over by tanks in China. In the US, dissidents for child pornography get ??? Maybe it just comes down to courage and values. Where there is money there is Google?
