Regarding Tom's comment on Numbering and Styles, these do work very well in Open Office but it did take me a little while to figure out. You have to format your headings using the heading styles and numbering follows the level of heading, as you would expect. As expressed elsewhere, the instant export to pdf is absolutely indispensible if you are sending documents to someone else who may priint them. I wouldn't go back to anything else, I have MS Office sitting on my machine but have never been tempted to use it since Open Office 2.0
