Bill does have a point!! When vista is released bill should give away Windows XP.
When the next version of windows after vista is released vista should be given away. (without an upgrade path to the new version for obvious reasons).
Using this model will not single out those who cannot afford to buy the previous os and will allow everyone to at least have some sort of operating system on their computer. It will also allow the 100 dollar laptop to become a lot more accessable!!
