Story: No escape from lugging a laptop
It is really amazing how simple technology became a hit a few years after the dotcom burst.
I used to work in a company that provides really fuss free access to your pop email account online. It was years ago, probably 5-7years? quite long in the Internet age.
We had online bookmark service where one simply punch a keyboard shortcut or click on a link within the browser bookmark to add it to his online folder. We also has a simple syncronization service to keep outlook stuff in sync via a online web service. It can then be accessed via WAP phone.
If the company had persevere and envision its creation and innovate further, it could have been very much more successful then Del.icio.us and Folder share; perhaps bought over by Microsoft?
