Story: Vonage unveils UK Wi-Fi mobile phone service

I think i will wait until a service like Skype takes up this idea and allows users to make completely free calls from Wi-Fi enabled 'hot spots'.

It would cost a huge amount to set up initially i imagine - but just with any other service, they could introduce charges through a back door for 'extra features' after people are already hooked.

I suspect the big mobile players wont give this Vonage offer much thought at the moment - but in the next 5 years i wouldnt be surprised if these types of services are causing Mobile Moguls to be having nervous breakdowns - unless of course they pre-empt companies like Skype etc by offering the same service which again... will probably happen within the next 5-10 years.
