It’s a good thing that the scheme was scrapped. In my company, the hardware on offer was sold at a premium approximately corresponding to the tax incentive. In other words, the provider working on behalf of my employer took the opportunity to vastly increase their margins, in effect cashing in the tax break instead of the employees. It was easy to spot because the machines where readily available from reputable web shops, which made the prices easily comparable. So I was glad when I heard the scheme was scrapped.
