The analogy that comes to mind is the spider. Most spiders keep their prey alive, trapped in their web until it is time to eat them. A practice M$ has used on many occasions. Aside from the trust factor. My question is why would anybody want the help of a company who can't even meet their own objectives and deadlines. Sounds to me M$ has the most to gain from any Open Source relationship.
