Simple? How can collecting this tax ever be described as simple, unless of course they have absolutely no clue what they are talking about.

Mail coming out of my business server goes direct to the recipient's mail server. It does not go via an ISP (at my end at least). Am I going to have to fit some piece of software in my mail server? Are HMRC going to be empowered to march in and check it whenever they want? How much will that all cost? Quite a bit more than they will be collecting I should think.

So I pay more in time and faffing about. The HMRC have another pile of irrelevant rules to follow and the Exchequer makes (less than?) nothing out of it.

Inspired !!

The EU at it's best.

Straight banana anyone?
