It is not about Sun beeing open source or not it is about where the open source community is concentrated.
And that is not Solaris.
Also it it not about Linux or Solaris.
It is about open source, open standards about the lack of lock-in to any specific company.
It is all about knowlegde and the free use, sharing and contribution to it.
Let us call it academic, funny, but it is high time IT became academic. The time of IT "woodooo" is ending.
