Story: A Farewell to Memphis
You really shouldn't let your office temps write your editorials.
So, W98 was crap because of ME? No, that's what happens when a s/w developer decides that 'fancy' is an acceptable substitute for 'reliable'. Of course, MS have never made *that* mistake again...
W98 suffers from "rampant infections"? Only if you have a clueless user who *also* thinks that 'fancy' is an acceptable...etc.
*How* many SPs have there been for each of the NT releases so far? I know of 6 for NT4, and 2 for XP. That's 'reliability and performance', isn't it?
Oh, and as far as Longhorn/Vista/Atchison/Topeka/Santa Fe is concerned:if I wanted my PC to call Redmond, Wa. all the time, I'd put MS on my 'friends and family' list.
