There hasn't been any gold driven in my direction, let alone my country or the rest of the EU. There's no wealth to be gained from some old guy half the world doesn't know depositing his stale money into a fund that's hardly being used to it's potential(s).
I am however gaining wealth from learning and working together with others when using Linux based operating systems and Open Source software - a wealth of knowledge and skills I can pass on to other persons in my future.

For that, Open Source should remain free as in freedom and universal as in independent.

Organisations should not preserve what is of value only to them, they should preserve what is of value to everybody, and there's still room for small amounts of self interest in there without neglecting anybody.
Provided you stay on the right path, that is.
