Cost of a newly released DVD in music/video store: £17.99. Cost of same DVD online £10.98

Cost of DIY book in book store: £25.00. Cost of same book online: £7.48

Do the math. If it's cheaper online then people will flock to the cheaper suppliers. If it's cheaper in store they will go there. It's not rocket science.

But the expectation is now there that online means cheaper. Can that reasonably be expected to last?
