Be careful as the default tabbed browsing behaviour has been discontinued and is only available as an extension you have to find.

If, like me, you liked the way it worked try Opera 9 , which has a simple tick box on the tools/preferences menu to enable one X for closing the active tab.

In my dealings with the FF community I learnt that computer program usability did not exist until a couple of years ago, at which time a new form of computers must have been invented as nothing from the computer science of the 70s is applicable today.
The driving slogan of my old OS was "user friendly" so I must have dreamed half my laife away.

I couldn't handle this new learning curve as these people are involved in FF and so are therefore knowledgable and always right. I know because they told me, so I moved to Opera 9 beta and have not missed FF at all.
