Story: Intel's Core 2 Duo delivers on promises

It is a welcome reversal, and it shows that after having been caught napping, Intel have pulled out all the stops to come back at their rivals.

I would have preferred it if AMD could have managed a slightly larger market share before this turn of events, to give Intel a serious contender, however Intel do seem to have got the message.

It will be interesting to see how AMD can respond to this, maybe it is their turn to have been caught napping ;-)

I am glad Intel have got the message though. Performance/Watt is becoming a much more important statistic than outright performance, at least here in Germany, and it was an area where, apart from the notebook, AMD had a significant lead. Now it looks like their products are going to look power hungry...

I wonder how long it will take them to muster a response.
