If Sony believes there should be interoperability, when is Sony's music business launching its service to exchange FairPlay protected tracks for PlaysForSure protected tracks? Or ATRAC for that matter?

Answer: Sony does not want interoperability, they only want to get DRM & Blu-ray across the line.

Sony is only pointing a finger at Apple because they have no business in the portable music market any more.

Now is the time to start taking this danger VERY seriously. This is big and very nasty business in action. The objective seems absolutely clear. Destroy GPL and 'steal' all the technology. An activity with plenty of precedence.
