Story: Apple needs a window into the enterprise
Nice article but look at the other side of the coin. Apple OSX is very stable, and is so because it doesn't have to run on thousands of variations of hardware, is optimised for Apple hardware and doesn't have to contend with others poorly coded and tested operating system . If Apple started to ship the servers with Windows or Linux then it'd have to spend time and money making sure it worked. This would inevitably have an impact on it's other ventures. Have you ever tried using an Apple server with OSX. It integrates well and can run a lot of the UNIX based applications with little or no modification. So why would you want to put Linux on it and if you want a Windows server buy a Dell like everyone else.
