The gullible American public think because it is Microsoft it must be the best, whereas if it wasn't for Microsoft's ineptitude they wouldn't need it in the first place. It is this mentality which led to the overwhelming rise of the IBM PC because Charlie Chaplin used it, and put computing back 20 years at least.
