Right, and no company out there (ab)using those "administrative rules" for nothing but there own agenda, I gather?
On the one hand certain companies favourable "administrative rules" are lobbied in via questionable backdoors. On the other hand straightforward "administrative rules" are fought, confused and frustrated any which way they can.

There will be further activation issues to watch out for as Microsoft plans to offer a similar service to independent software vendors whereby they can "control" licensing through activation and other measures similar to the Software Protection Platform.
