Your statement that "The Palm OS was even dumped by its former parent company — PDA manufacturers Palm Inc — who went instead for Microsoft's Windows Mobile system" is COMPLETELY misleading and innacurate. This is something that is certainly not worthy of this publication - shame on you.

Palm Inc. currently supports BOTH PalmOS and Windows Mobile with different Treo smartphones. There is ABSOLUTELY no question that Palm will continue to develop devices running the PalmOS (now called ALP) as it has repeatedly stated.

It's a shame that ZDNet so evidently falls in the "Palm-bashing" camp. http://blog.treonauts.com/2006/10/treo_680_bringi.html
