Story: Vista PCs will nod off to save power
How long will the machine take to come out of sleep mode? I hope they have created a time schedule - allow sleep when idle between 8pm and 7am, for example.
With Windows taking so long to boot out of sleep, this will be a pain if it goes to sleep while I'm at a meeting.
I can just imagine coming out of a meeting to look something up on my PC quickly while the director is standing there - 'sorry it'll be a few minutes my PC needs to wake up'. The director will not have the patience for this.
If there's no scheduling, I'll be leaving it turned off, to avoid problems with my boss!
