Belts tighten at Intel

Not surprised to hear that cash is getting tight at Intel - AMD is giving them a hammering and let's face it -- chip speeds just don't matter so much. Personally I am looking forward to the day when they run out of cash so much that can't force PC makers to run that bloody annoying jingle - the day we see the back of that will be a good one.

And what happened to the Intel anti-trust trial - was meant to be on the same level as DoJ versus MS but nothing so far..

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
