The Invasion seems to have been cancelled.

As a Security Specialist working in the UK, I maintain an interest in communication methods etc such as PTT.

Recently, I worked with a Client who was not from the Uk. He had successfully deployed PTT over Cellular solutions for his staff, with Network Providers in Europe and the US.

In a recent telephone call, He requested an overview of this type of service in the UK. On doing some research, by phoning all the cellular providers in the Uk, I was advised that none have this service available for us either by business or domestic customers.

Orange's own solution, Talk Now, has been withdrawn from Business Customers due to it's low level of uptake, according to Orange Business Customer Services.

Further research shows that this may be due to the fact that the UK is a nation of texters, rather than talkers as with the United States.

If anyone at ZDNet has anything further, I would be very interested.
