GPS on mobile phones ? = not new

I've been using a Motorola A1000 for over 2 years with built in GPS. This device has access on online maps, I have loaded lots of details maps for hill walkiing and have Tom-Tom navigation software running to provide road directions.

Prior to the A100 the A910 /A920 also has built in GPS receiver.

As for using it it locate/track the device (only bad when misused) - the phone companies can do this pretty accurately using triangulation from multiple base stations (cells) without using any GPS.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
