Monopoly by stealth

HD Photo, like XAML, are vehicles designed *solely* to lockin unsuspecting Microsoft customers who have more to worry about than file formats. The technical benefits are marginal at best.

Given the impending ubiquity of Vista, I guess anybody sensible enough not to install to Vista will be locked out by such new 'defacto' standards.

Not to worry. I'm told Microsoft give losts of money to charity so I guess it makes it alright then don't it.
