MS giving refunds?

Well I'm astounded. Having gone through this exercise, at the end of the day Microsoft will say "you have oversubscribed to these licences, please have all this money back"

Being a cynic, I thought it would only work in the other direction, ie you haven't got enough so pay up and we'll also settle a compensation figure.

Some time back I raised the issue with a journal doing the yearly BSA scaremongering, that BSA was a "company" and as such had no rights whatsoever to my information, all communications from BSA should be filed in the bin.
The journal investigated and did a follow up as BSA did not contest the statement.
Has something changed recently?
