Vista syncs with Windows Mobile 5

I can confirm that Vista syncs with Windows Mobile 5 perfectly well.
As Active Sync has been done away with you will need to use Windows Mobile Device Centre - this is only available on Vista.

To get it you need to connect your windows mobile device and then run the Windows update. It will download the latest edition of Windows Mobile Device Centre appropriate for your device. It supports USB and Bluetooth sync without a server.

more details can be found in my blog post.
