Overspending
While it may be very commendable of Birmingham City Council to consider opensource applications as a way forward, what is less so is their incompetance in sourcing desktops.
Half a million pouds for a mere two-hundred desktop pcs is lamentable; one could be led to suppose that Birmingham City Council has a major interest in a computer supplier or manufacturer.
